Plastic People, Plastic Robots.

Which one should I pick for “me”

Hello this is Kris, and welcome to my blog.  Today I am re-releasing a blog I wrote several years ago.  I feel this blog says today, what it did back in 2017.  And it starts with the question, “why are all these stars cutting up their faces to look like some creature out of a toy story?”  I must ask, are we real or imagination? Does our skin melt away only to be replaced by plastic?  Is this a dream? Foolish questions really, but when I look at many of the stars and people of “importance.” I am seeing plastic dolls. What has happened to their faces?

I will not name names here because I don’t want to get my butt kicked by said people but, after viewing Yahoo time and time again with its many pictures of the stars, I am shocked at what stares back at me from the pages. I see stars that I haven’t seen in years, and I don’t recognize them. What the hell are they doing to their faces? Who wants a face that looks like it is frozen in time with a mouth like Heath Ledger from Batman? Even the men are in on it. Some of my favorites look hideous. Do they even look in the mirror when the plastic surgeon is done with their face?

I am disgusted with the stars as there is nothing wrong with getting a little older. Our bodies are going to do what it does as it ages, and that is wrinkle and sag. I bet underneath a lot of the dresses and suits their skin is just as marked with age spots as mine.  The flesh on their thigh’s sags just like mine because that is what it does, it loses its elasticity and sags.  And their skin is just as thin as mine even though their faces are frozen in some weird time period.  Do they think that that we don’t know they have a neck like a Turkey with those scarves and high button collars?

What about all that face paint and blinding white light that these producers douse their announcers and stars in?  These people are cast in bright lights so we can’t really see all the lines and wrinkles. And it hides their necks,

They use to call me shrimp, after leg surgery I am called Tall.

What is wrong with just being ourselves? When I look at some of the stars that I stood in awe of with their frozen looking faces I am so disappointed. How can we look up to them when they refuse to remain human and grow old like us?

We have all seen the pictures when plastic surgery has gone wrong for some of these famous beauties. There isn’t one of them that looks natural and lovely. Oh, if they do a tiny little bit, they get by with it, but once they get started, they come away looking like something out of a toy factory. Some even look like they are wearing a mask!

I don’t go to the movies or watch a lot of television so it might be years before I see one of my favorite stars again, so when the show comes on and I see what they have done in the last several years I am often shocked, and a little pissed! Where did the person I fell in love with go? Who is that standing on stage?

Now I would love to look beautiful all the time, but it goes against nature, and I would rather have my health than look in the mirror and not see me anymore. If some news person would do a slideshow of some of these famous people as they aged with their plastic surgery and showed what they have done to their faces over the years, it might even shock these stars. I know it does me.

Who says all of us must look like dolls out of Walmart? When did all this start and why do we buy into it? We are amazing creatures! No, we are not all brilliant or beautiful, or talented but, we are all wonderful, unique, and very special in our own way. We should not strive to be one of the “Stepford” wives, but instead let our inner self shine through.

How can we teach young girls and boys to love and appreciate themselves when all around are these walking, talking dolls trying to look perfect in every way? The sad thing is we know that this is not really how they feel inside. No way. If they did, they would not cut away pieces of themselves to fit into a certain mold

They call me Curvy!

Did I tell you I can see into the future? What I see is that we will be able to walk into a designer shop somewhere and pick a face off the wall just like we can pick out a wig we want to wear, and that is who we will become instead of who we are.  It will be like a Stephen King movie. Steven don’t steal my idea!

This is another frightening thought as I have never been in a plastic surgeon’s office but, I would imagine the plastic surgeons have books just like the beauty shops so you can pick out your cheeks, eyes, lips, breasts, and buttocks. Anything that can be replaced is offered.

Maybe they could open a big shop like a Walmart only call it Plastic Mart where all they sell will be the things you could hope to replace on your body through surgery or just try out the replacement parts like face mask, bra stuffers, and booty pants.

Sadly, while I’m trying to be humorous, I am sure it will happen at some point in time.  Did you know that in China they have made a female robot that is lovely, walks, and converses with you? There is also a company somewhere where you can order your own favorite robot star doll to have as your companion. And, on Yahoo awhile back some organization or such reported that it is predicted by the year 2030 humans will be marrying and mating with robots. What do you think of that? Not only will our parts be replaced, but we will be replaced as well.

None of us are perfect and we shouldn’t want or expect that from each other. Our own uniqueness is what puts such flavor in the world. If we were all dolls out of a factory, I think humanity would come to a standstill. Don’t let any institution sway you to change how you look and feel. Do not let them take away your specialness. That is what we love about each other, that is the attraction. If we take away what is us, we might as well be mating with robots!

This is a real face, isn’t it cute!

I say it’s time to take control and be who we are through our real appearances, and our behaviors towards each other, period.  I’m going to steal someone’s saying here or part of it and say, “people will not necessarily remember how you look, but they will remember how you made them feel.” Make us feel happy, excited, and glad to be part of humanity.  Leave all your parts in place and focus on giving your inner loveliness to the world. And if Hollywood doesn’t like it, then form your own company called “Real People”, and use real people, not plastic looking dolls. So, for today appreciate your beauty and the beauty in others, and as I always say, have a great day today, you and I deserve it!

The Ripple Effect.

Have you ever thrown a rock into a pool of water and watched the ripples run along the surface? The wave goes on and on for some time. It’s mesmerizing. Even after we are no longer able to see these ripples they are still traveling through the water, sometimes all the way to the other shoreline.

The same is true when we throw something through the air, the molecules in the air move and the ripple continues on, possibly to infinity. I believe our words have the same effect. They travel through so many.

This ripple effect is a powerful occurrence, and in the context of this blog it means that any action or inaction that we take has an effect on the things going on in our lives, and the lives of those around us.

When I was studying mediation I was taught that everything we do has a ripple effect on all the things around us. They can be positive or they can be negative. We must decide how we want the ripples to influence others.

Just contemplating our actions or in-actions before we move forward can influence our behavior to do better, be better and to help others or to be mean, hateful and hurtful.

Right how in this time we are having so many hateful words thrown out into the world from one person to the next. Hateful acts of violence in the name of what? Bodily harm done to so many that is influenced by the haters cheering this behavior on in others.

Beauty is all around us.

Have you ever had someone say or do something terrible to you? Think about that ripple effect that might have occurred. You probably felt hurt. You might have treated someone else badly, and then went home to your family and treated them badly. All because someone did something to you.

Can you see the ripple effect in your life when you think of your actions in any given moment? Did your actions make someone cry, feel hurt, or did they leave a smile on their face, perhaps a little hope in their heart? We each have that kind of power to hurt or help. How we choose to use it falls on us. Take a look at the world and see all the horrible ripples running through right now. We must change the course of the hate racing through this great country. We must be an example of what we expect of others.

I forgive all those who are caught up in the chaos. There is much that has happened on both sides of that story. Our feelings, and the feelings of others are so contagious. I ask that each of us stops for a moment and ask ourselves what we are projecting out into the world around us.

Sadly our children are seeing this chaos and reacting in a bad way as well. We must show them that forgiveness is a good thing, caring for another human being shows our humanity, and helping others is not a bad virtue, but a high goal to reach toward.

I say open the window in your heart and let the fresh air in. Let the past be past. Reach for a brighter day. Help the children let go of their fear, a fear that I am sure is consuming their little hearts as they see the adults in their lives going crazy. Assure them that all will be well. Tell them it was just a moment of insanity for this great world we live in.

Together we have the power.

Each of us can make it a better day for those around us by being kind. By being respectful. By demonstrating the kind of treatment that we hope to receive from those around us. We have the power to make this country a better place. We have the power to be a better human being. It just takes one person, just like that one drop of water to begin creating an ocean. And as I always say have a great day today. You and I deserve it.

The Facebook Challenge. The “Take Action Now Challenge”

I am re-releasing this blog because ” Breast Cancer Awareness Month” is right ahead of us, just, one more day , and our minds will get blown away with all the “caring, sensitive, advertisements for products supporting breast cancer awareness. If you have read my previous blogs you know this is a sore spot for me. Below is my book which expresses those painful, angry opinions. They come from my experiences with breast cancer.

I will add a piece each week about my opinions and experiences with breast cancer. I hope my book will be an awaking for you. If I tell you one thing, it is to take action now if you have something that is wrong inside your body. Do not wait! Waiting can and will lead to death. Here’s the actual piece from Facebook.!

Okay, I have been thinking. A dangerous thing for me to do, but I must. I want to send out a challenge to all my friends, and friends of friends to share the new ” Take Action Now.” theme. Did you know that cancer kills, but did you know that sometimes cancer kills because we didn’t act fast enough.” My book, ” Screw Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Take Action Now. The New Mantra.” is an important message for all to hear. When something is wrong in our bodies we need to act. I would like to have this message reach a million people. I know, I know, I expect a lot, but the projections for the number of new cases of cancer for 2020 was roughly 1,805,695. I am talking just in 2020, with an estimated 606,800 deaths that year. The driving force behind my book is that I feel I am not reaching enough people with this important message of ” take action now” through just my blog. So if you will share this blog, and this post with all your friends on Facebook, and have your friends share it, and continue on to who knows when, maybe as a group we will save someone’s life. There is much to learn about cancer. It is better to learn it now instead of when you really might need to have this information http://www.amazon.com/dp/BO8GFCX7MK

Add as I always say, have a great day today, you and I deserve it!

“SEAT”

Looks so yummy.

Hello, welcome to my blog cast. This is Kris and I’d like to share a few bits of information with you, perhaps give you a little boot in the butt.

Let’s start with the fact that is the first day of March, two months since we all laid down those new, New Year’s resolutions, and I want to have ask how many are still hanging in there? I will admit that I have already given up. Actually, I gave up in January. Yep, I go hard and fast and then slip and fall.

I am the first to admit that it is hard to make changes.  I lose that enthusiasm rather quickly. I get overwhelmed with all the advice about new diet ideas ( not really new at all) foods to eat, foods not to eat, fasting, keto, low calorie, high protein, grains, no grains.  My mind just shuts down from the explosion of information sent my way on the internet.

But I’m here to give you some more information. Sorry, but I have too. If you have read my blogs or you’ve listened in, you know that my site is not an advertisement for anything. I do not promote products except for my very own which I’m proud of and I think are beneficial for both of us. Otherwise, I don’t advertise or promote other people’s stuff.  I find it a big distraction to what the author is trying to say if these pop ups fill the page.

Now you may have noticed the title of my blog, “ SEAT” which I am excited to say is promoting a new way of thinking.  If you are half as aware as I am while I’ve slogged through the day overfed and under exercised, you too may have noticed all the new diet trends, food lists, exercises promoting promises of a better body, and a healthier you. I am here to say that this new way of eating has hit home for me.  It is a message I agree with and I am excited to try. What does SEAT stand for you may ask, “Go ahead, ask.”  It stands for “STOP EATING ALL THE TIME.”

They are always tempting us, the little devils.

“What the hell you might say, that sounds like something my grandmother would have said.”  And you would be correct. We have become a society of stuffers, constantly shoving food or snacks into our faces hungry or not.  We have destroyed our real sense of hunger because we never give our guts a chance to empty and rest.  It is always pulsing and breaking down everything we drop down the hole. Churning, gurgling, sending out more acids to destroy more treats. It is a hell hole down there.

Let me ask you what do you do when you know you are going out to your favorite restaurant for a great meal?  Do you shovel in the food all day?  Most of us, and I am sure you are one of those, don’t eat much throughout the day in anticipation of the great meal coming our way.  And what usually happens when we do this, hopefully for you and me is that the food is wonderful, and we really enjoy it.

That is the Key…That is what I am talking about.  Most of the time we don’t even know what the crap we put in our gullet even taste like, we just keep stuffing it in.

This wonderful article talks about this and suggests we give our guts a rest. “If it is getting close to a meal, or you have a couple of hours, have a large glass of water with a slice of fruit dropped in for flavor or eat a half of a banana.”  We do not need to eat as soon as we feel the first wave of hunger, we will not die, and our bodies will thank us later.

I know if my grammy was still here she would be the first one to say STOP EATING ALL THE TIME if you want to feel better. When we let our guts rest then it can rejuvenate and restore the good bacteria that lives in our bellies and help us stay healthy.  Instead, we shove in more M&Ms making ourselves feel crappy, bloated, and miserable, not to mention the gas combustion that occurs.

Oh, they mixed in a piece of fruit.

Our lives and all our celebrations revolve around food.  There are treats served at every event. There are more sweets and snacks along the store aisles than there is real food.

We need to get back to waiting to enjoy our meals.  Enjoy the foods that we eat, and only eat when we are hungry.  And as a bonus pay attention to what we are eating so that we can lead ourselves in a new, healthier, happy direction.

So I will admit that this new idea was stolen from someone else’s new idea, and probably said by someone’s grammy, and that is “ We need to STOP EATING ALL THE TIME.”  I will add  “Pay attention to what is shoveled down your throat as well.  I mean if we are trying to be healthier, we can at least take it a little further.

While I was writing this piece I googled and found the article, and it first came out in July 2022 and then was released again the other day where it caught my eye.  If you want to read the whole article here is the site https://www.you.co.uk/the-seat-diet-weight-loss-plan/ which I have attached the link.

It really is a great article and takes the staying healthy to a whole new direction.  We all know that we need to be sensible about what we eat. We all know that we need to exercise more, and we know that we need to choose good food options, and not the sweets and fat laden things lining the wall all the way through the checkout counter.

I always say that the things we need to do to be a better, healthier, happy person is already in our knowledge bank, we just need to hear it again, and again, maybe in a new way so that we become motivated in the right direction once again.  I hope this blog piece will motivate you, the article I read STOP EATING ALL THE TIME really hit home for me, and as I always say, have a great today, you and I deserve it.

Oh, that is better, I love cherries, and they are so good for you.

THE NITTY GRITTY

My CD

Hello, welcome to my blog cast, it’s wonderful to have you back again. I hope 2023 is starting out on a good note. I’m sure you are as sick of shopping and food, as well as all the New Year’s resolutions shouted from the rooftops as I am.

I will say for me it’s time to get on with the nitty, gritty of meeting some of my goals. I have found through the years that while I am a creative person, I am not very good with following through and completing my task. Recently I came across a meditation that a very dear friend of mine and I created many long years ago, but never released.

I listened to this the other day as I found it in a drawer somewhere and the sound of my friend Eunice’s voice brought tears to my eyes as I realized that the world may never hear her words if I do not release the CD to the public.

As what happens in everyone’s life, I’ve gotten tied up in the day-to-day garbage thrown my direction, without ever following through on my goals of what I really want to be accomplishing.

Life does that, the day-to-day responsibilities gets in our way. Our obligations to family, friends, and the world in general seemed to stop us from moving forward. Or at least that’s my excuse.

I still miss my friend.

After listening to Eunice’s voice, and the words that we created together to bring about this meditation tape, I realized that I don’t want her voice or my voice to get lost in the wilderness. I truly feel that the words she has to say and the meditation that we offer is such a gift to everyone that I’m offering it on my Market Street page for those of you who would like a copy of their own.

While thinking about what lies ahead for me at the ripe old age of 72, the sound of the clock ticking away battering me with its reminder that time is slipping away is frightening when I realize that I can no longer think of a 30-year mortgage because I won’t be here in 30 years. When I cannot think of a 20-year loan because I may not last that long. But the saddest thing for me is to realize that my dearest friend, who is no longer here may never have her words heard by anyone.

I’m not going to let laziness or feeling overworked, or self-pity get in the way of me putting out this CD to all of you.

When I created this blog, it took me days to figure out how the hell to do anything.  I spent hours and hours searching all the websites I could find. I cried in frustration as things kept falling apart, not registering on my blog, and getting lost in the great universal pit. But I did not give up.

Keep going and follow your path..

Now I have decided that I will not give up until I get our CD out into the universe for those who need to hear Eunice’s words to help bring peace and balance back into their life.

Once upon a time we thought of doing great things. We had a lot of good plans. We wanted to help so many people. But instead, life got in our way, and we ended up on separate paths and lost each other along the way.

I am not going to allow this beautiful meditation to be lost. I am not going to prevent my friend’s voice from speaking to the masses. I am going to work to put our CD “ Chakra Lights Meditation” out into the universe and hope that those who need to hear her words will listen to our meditation and find peace. Perhaps you too will find this a source of motivation so you can move your life forward as I am going to move my life forward as well.

May I wish each one of you a great new year. Don’t let others stand in your way. Take control of your life. Set realistic goals that you can meet. Be gentle with yourself. If you fail start over because we all fail. And if you fall down get back up and begin again.

I would also like you to take a moment and listen to the sample I have included as Eunice’s voice guides you through a short relaxation. This is how the CD begins.  And as I always say, have a GREAT day today, you and I deserve it.
