Views On Life

Things can always change.

We all have opinions and thoughts about what is occurring from moment to moment. Sometimes we just need to get these thoughts out even if it is only to the clouds above. You are in the clouds, as I am in the whole scheme of blogging.

One of the views I have come to adopt is that I have all that I need right now in this moment. I WANT lots of things. But, I don’t need them.

What seems to push all of us is the desire to have more things. Another television, another car, closets full of clothes, and every electronic gadget sold at Best Buy.

When I was growing up we had a black and white television. It was amazing when color came along later. The channel selector was not a universal remote, but the kid who was closest to the television.

Sometimes I have to admit some of the stress in my life is the desire to have more. Being satisfied with our lives seems almost a sin. Now I am not saying that there aren’t many people out there who really do need “more” But for the rest of us we probably have enough.

If you are feeling stressed look at what you are stressing over. Are there things in your life that you could let go of? What goals are you struggling with, and are they realistic?

Now I could have more if I wanted to work longer hours, never see my family or my pets, and never get enough sleep, but I don’t want to miss those things so I just work one job, and try to count my blessings.

Stress can be toxic, look at what may be poisoning your life. Make sure you have what you need, but get rid of the WANTS. Believe me it will help you feel better. With all that is going on right now we all need a little peace.

Have a great day today, you and I deserve it. See you soon.

Hello world!

Look at the gift some little bird left.

This is my first day on the job. I have lots of stories and opinions that I will share along our journey together. Our life experiences shape our world view, and if we need to we can alter that view with just a little work, and some trust in the universe. I hope that the words I send your way are meaningful and not just the mutterings of an old woman.

Stepping out in nature is the ultimate tranquilizer for me. Breathing in the fresh air and having my dog Tessie at my side brings me such peace. Finding a sense of peace can help us let go of the day to day garbage that seems to surround us all. Take a breath, think of something that you have to be grateful for as there must be some little thing somewhere.

Together maybe we can share our moments of peace, share are anguish at the world, and encourage each other to be strong enough to make it through another day.

For today just look at what today has to offer. Sometimes when we look too far ahead it sets our hearts pounding, and our minds racing. Slow down and take a moment. You deserve it. Have a great day today, see you soon.
